Swimming has always been more than a sport to me; it's a family. Some of my favorite memories have been made on the pool deck, watching swimmers grow in confidence, celebrating personal bests, and building friendships that last far beyond the season.
As the Head Coach and founder of Octoswimmers, my goal is to create an environment where every swimmer feels welcomed, encouraged, and challenged. Whether a swimmer is just learning the basics or working toward competitive goals, I believe success comes from patience, consistency, and making practice something they look forward to each week.
Outside of the pool, I am a special education teacher, where I have the privilege of helping students of all abilities learn, grow, and reach their full potential. Teaching has shaped my coaching style by reminding me that every child learns differently and deserves individualized encouragement, positive relationships, and opportunities to succeed.
I believe swimming teaches much more than strokes and turns; it builds confidence, perseverance, responsibility, and lifelong friendships. At Octoswimmers, we are committed to creating a supportive, family-centered atmosphere where swimmers and parents feel connected, valued, and excited to be part of our team.
I can't wait to welcome your family to the Octoswimmers family and help your swimmer discover all they are capable of achieving, both in and out of the water!
