Updates for Octoswimmers
Good morning!
We made it through the first week of school! Whew, speaking as both a parent and a teacher, I know how tough it can be to get everyone and everything back on schedule. Thank you for also making the first week of Octoswimmers a beautiful success.
I am looking forward to a year filled with success in the water and to developing our tiny swimmers into strong, confident individuals.
A few housekeeping items:
- Friday Practices – As of right now, no swimmers are registered for Friday practices. I’ve turned off registration for the time being. I think the best option is to wait until September to see if there’s interest in adding Friday practices. Let’s get back into the groove of school first, and then revisit.
- Adult Swim – This is in the same situation as Friday practices. I’ve had a few inquiries, so if you are interested in adult swim lessons, please let me know.
- Payments – Most families have either paid or set up recurring payments for August, thank you! If you haven’t done so yet and need assistance, please reach out. My preference is automatic payments, but if that doesn’t work for you, just let me know.
Looking ahead to next week:
We’ll be working on setting season goals. I’ll be teaching swimmers how to create SMART goals, and they will receive a printout of their Octoswimmers season from last year and their summer season results. If you’re joining us from a different team, you should be able to review your summer ribbons to see your times.
Once again, thank you for helping make our first week such a success. I can’t wait to see all the progress we’ll make together this season!
Coach Emily
