We had a fantastic day at the AAU Leprechaun Splash meet at Georgia Tech! I’m so proud of how hard the swimmers competed and supported each other. The team showed great effort across the board, and many swimmers made big improvements.

One of the biggest challenges of this meet was something completely new for everyone. Georgia Tech recently installed brand new touchpads, which changed the height and feel of the walls. This created a lot of unknowns going into the meet, especially for turns and finishes. Our swimmers did an amazing job persevering and adjusting throughout the day. While there were a few learning moments as everyone figured things out, the team stayed focused and adapted quickly. The best part? We made it through the entire meet without a single disqualification! Now we know exactly what we’re facing when we return to Georgia Tech for the County Championship, and the swimmers will be even more prepared.

I’m incredibly proud of the effort and sportsmanship the swimmers showed all day. Meets like this are where all the hard work in practice starts to pay off!
